Who Is Frankie?
I’m Frankie. I’ve spent over 3,000 hours testing AI tools so you don’t waste your money on garbage.
While everyone else was writing “Top 10 AI Tools” articles by copying marketing pages, I was actually using these tools. Signing up with my own email. Paying with my own credit card. Breaking them on purpose to see what happens. I’ve crashed 47 free trials, maxed out 12 credit cards, and consumed enough coffee to give a horse palpitations.
The goggles aren’t for show. When you spend 10+ hours a day staring at AI interfaces, comparing token costs, and running the same prompts through 15 different chatbots, you need protection. For your eyes. And possibly your sanity.
Why I Started BestAgentPick
Here’s what made me snap: I was looking for an AI customer service tool for a friend’s small business. Every “review” site I found was either a glorified ad, a regurgitated press release, or written by someone who clearly never used the product.
“Best AI tools 2026!” — written by someone who tested zero of them. Fantastic.
So I built BestAgentPick. One person. Real testing. Actual opinions. No PR team is going to tell me their tool is “revolutionary” and have me believe it without putting it through hell first.
I cover 58 categories of AI tools, from chatbots to coding assistants, from voice agents to video generators. If an AI tool exists and someone’s paying for it, I’ve probably tested it.
How I Test Tools
Every tool I review goes through the same gauntlet:
- Real signup. No demo accounts, no guided tours. I sign up like a regular user and pay with my own money.
- Extended use. Minimum 5-10 hours of actual use, not just clicking around the dashboard for 20 minutes.
- Real-world scenarios. I use each tool for actual work, not made-up test cases. If it’s a writing tool, I write real content. If it’s a coding assistant, I build real features.
- Head-to-head comparison. Same task, multiple tools. Side-by-side results so you can see the difference yourself.
- Pricing deep-dive. I calculate the actual cost for real usage patterns, not just the advertised starting price. Hidden fees, token limits, overage charges — I find them all.
My Testing Philosophy
- Zero sponsored reviews. Nobody pays me to say nice things. Ever.
- Every tool tested with real-world scenarios. No fake demos or cherry-picked results.
- I pay for every subscription myself. My credit card statements are a war zone.
- If a tool sucks, I’ll tell you. Even if the company offers me a fat affiliate deal to shut up.
